“It never snows here” was a common mantra uttered by the local’s when I first moved here…well, the ‘Beast from the East’ changed all that. With the severe conditions that hit the whole of the UK in February 2018, I was determined to get down to Durdle Door. The road conditions were very challenging at best especially with a two wheel drive car, but it was worth the effort though, a sight I will never forget. Setup on the cliff top with the snow swirling around me and icy winds blowing, I soaked it all up and enjoyed the crashing of the sea without another soul to be seen.

Two weeks later it snowed again, though it was much easier to get to the coast that time, for me it lacked the drama of the beast from the easts offering.
