A honey pot shot for sure for landscape photographers, cliche, maybe but for good reason. Mist swirling around the hill below Corfe castle with its ancient 11th Century ruins original built by William the Conquerer is quite a sight. The oranges, purples, reds of a pre sunrise sky add to the drama of the spectacle. I set up just above the mist so I could get a nice graduation in tone of the darl castle ruins making sure I cut the horizon line with the tow tallest tower walls.

I’d love to travel back in time and witness the castle in it heyday!
